Amanda - I noticed in one of your posts you talked of slippery elm. I have thought about buying some, can you tell me what it's like? I have a feeling it might not be very nice. John and I both suffer with our stomachs, and I'd like to try a natural remedy.

Hi Lyn,

Slippery Elm is an amazing herb as it sorts out any type of gastro related problem. Some say it is a crime the medical profession don't use it more often!

My herbalist suggests one takes it for anything ranging from indigestion to an upset tummy. It balances out the problems very gently.

The purest form is to take 4/5 teaspoons in a little milk, however yes, it tastes terrible! BUT well worth the pain! LOL

Here are some tablet forms but I am sure the powder is easy to find. I pay £5 for a huge bag of powder.

I take it instead of allthose prescription gastro pills..

Love,
Amanda

Hi Amanda, I wish I had Slippery Elm in the house and could really do with it, but will have to use the good old fennel tea instead to help my runny tummy......

Love,

Barbara

One of the reasons I hated Saturdays as a kid in a mining valley in South Wales. Slippery Elm, Codliver Oil (on a table spoon) and Syrup of Figs. One after each other............................Urgh !!!
